What is a Cabaret?

In the theatre world, when one hears the word “cabaret,” their mind immediately envisions a glittery Alan Cumming as the “Emcee” in the movie Cabaret. Others with a more theatrical world view might drift to the Folies Bergere or the Moulin Rouge of European influence. Or, one might make no connection to the word whatsoever, until now.

Sioux Falls Theatre Company Announces Launch, Inaugural ‘Miscast Cabaret’

Aiming to bring a distinct and fresh new voice to the ever-growing arts scene in Sioux Falls, new theatre company, The Good Night Theatre Collective (GNTC), announced its launch today, as well as its first public performance, a unique cabaret experience with a twist, set for Thursday, Nov. 17.
