Season 11 Backstage Sign-Up
The backstage and strike experiences are communal ones — as such, we hope that you will consider being a part of a backstage crew in one of these capacities for a show in which you’re not already part of the cast or production team. Review the below opportunities, and check any you think you would be available and willing to participate in — then, we’ll follow-up with how things shake out and to which role or crew you’ve been assigned!

Strike teams will serve as leads during a particular show's strike; they'll meet with the production team before one of the final dress rehearsals to walk through what the strike plan will entail and what will be facilitated during and after the final performance. Then, they'll need to be on hand for the final performance to help delegate and lead their assigned teams. Strike team lead areas of focus could include set deconstruction, costume organizing, prop and furniture organizing, and space clean-up.

Stagehands will help out a production's stage manager with quick costume changes, curtain pulls, catwalk drops, music or light cues, etc., throughout show week. They'll be asked to be on hand starting the first tech rehearsal of production week, through to the final performance to assist in duties designated by the stage manager.
